Synthetic Organic Chemistry Team Leader

We are actively recruiting for a Synthetic / Organic Chemistry Team Leader to lead and co-ordinate a team of Synthetic / Organic Chemists working on a variety of R&D driven target compound / molecule projects.

With responsibility for the team’s development and performance, whilst also maintaining a hands-on approach to solve challenging and often complex reaction trouble shooting exercises, you will lead on a variety projects. These will notably be early-stage clinical drug development targets, but ultimately will provide guidance and support on other new and on-going projects.

To succeed you will hold a PhD in Synthetic / Organic Chemistry, together with proven demonstrable experience of leading teams of R&D Synthetic Chemists and managing multiple projects at any one time. (This role may also suit a candidate who has held project management responsibilities in a similar environment with the desire to develop a career in Synthetic Chemistry team leadership.)

This is a permanent opportunity offering a very attractive salary (depending on skills and experience)
