Support Worker / Case Worker (Family Support / Resettlement)

A unique opportunity to work in delivering a new service providing family support within the community.

Pact is an ambitious and growing independent national charity which provides a fresh start for people affected by imprisonment. They are highly respected for their innovation and creativity, and their commitment to enabling people to achieve meaningful positive change in their lives.

Position: Family Resettlement Workers
Location: opportunities across South Yorkshire
Job type: Part time and full time, Permanent opportunities
Hours: Up to 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £26,000per year

About the Role:
Pact has recently secured exciting new contracts under Transforming Rehabilitation to deliver family support services in both community and custody settings in South Yorkshire, Cumbria and Lancashire.

It is expected that the majority of delivery for South Yorkshire CRC will take place in custody, especially at HMP Moorland and HMP Hatfield with some in-reach into HMP Doncaster. There is also expected to be community based work throughout Sheffield, Barnsley, Rotherham and Doncaster.

They are looking to recruit part time and full time Support Worker / Case Worker positions to help set up and deliver the new Family Resettlement Service. The team will help deliver individual family and relationship case work support and a range of group-based family and relationship intervention training programmes. Delivery sites for 1-to-1 sessions may include and are not limited to CRC premises, prisons, and the family home; delivery sites for group work sessions may include CRC premises and prisons.

The Support Worker / Case Worker will work closely with CRC colleagues to promote the service and generate referrals of suitable participants. Another key aspect of the role will be reporting on the level and nature of direct support provided to each individual, and to keep track of the progress each individual makes throughout that support.

About You:
They are looking to appoint people with experience of supporting individuals with multiple and complex needs to overcome barriers, and therefore have an appreciation of safeguarding, personal safety and professional boundaries. Ideally you will also have interagency work experience (building partnerships, promoting positive relationships between different agencies, and developing new approaches to service delivery).

You will also be comfortable delivering support on a 1-2-1 basis and also to groups, in the community as well as in a prison setting. As the role involves a lot of travel around your patch, you will be a self-starter with the ability to manage and prioritise your own work.

Finally you will understand the importance of tracking your activities, as the success of the service will be dependent on the team delivering the contracted support time and interventions for the benefit of service users.

The successful candidate will have excellent listening skills, the ability to develop relationships with clients, volunteers, and other stakeholders, proven experience of achieving qualitative and quantitative targets, and an understanding of the criminal justice system.

You may have experience of the following: Support Worker, Charity, Charities, Third Sector, Case Worker, Safeguarding, NFP, Not For Profit, Social Services, Resettlement Case Worker, Community Development, Social Worker etc.
