About the Company

Lily Healthcare & Supported Living provides supported living for individuals who are homeless, diagnosed with mental health illness, physical health issues as well as learning disability.

We are currently looking for passionate individuals for the role of Support Workers.

We endeavour to provide a safe environment for vulnerable adults and support them to live independently. We work collaboratively with carers, families and local authorities. We assess each individual’s needs and work with them and their families, their local GPs and other health and social care professionals to provide clients with holistic support. We are dedicated to supporting our residents to eat well. Based on their food preferences, we involve them as much as possible in food preparation. We also support our clients with activities of daily living. We cater for a wide range of clients, who include people with mental health conditions to older people with dementia.

What does this Support Worker job involve?

Hours of Work: 37.5 Hours Per Week – Shifts: 07:00 – 21:00 + Every Other Weekend + Sleep-in

  • Assisting people with bathing, grooming and getting dressed
  • Handling household tasks like grocery, shopping and laundry
  • Preparing and serving meals
  • Administering oral and topical medication under the supervision of medical personnel
  • Providing mental and emotional support
  • Making recommendations to family members and healthcare personnel on the plan of care
  • Organising suitable recreational activities for the people you support
  • Collaborating with other health care and social care professionals to provide the best possible care

Am I the right person for this Support Worker job?

  • Flexibility in availability as the roles involve shift work – sleep-in nights, evenings and weekends
  • Experience of working with attachment and trauma is desirable
  • Experience of working with challenging behaviour and or mental health issues is desirable
