Our client provides substance misuse services across the country, in the community and also in prisons across the UK. They are looking for experienced Band 6 Substance Misuse Nurses for permanent posts in various Surrey prisons to provide clinical expertise in delivering a comprehensive service to those with drug and alcohol problems, providing a recovery focused approach to individuals whilst supporting their return to the community. Full time and part time roles are available, and will consider Band 5 looking to move into a Band 6 role. A car driver is essential.

A current understanding of substance misuse/detox, health promotion, risk assessment, BBV programmes is essential in this role. This can be gained either in a prison setting, A+E, primary care centres, secure hospitals or in the community etc, you just must have experience at supervisory or Band 6 level, or top Band 5.

Person specification:

Nurse-qualified
At least 2 years post-qualification experience in substance misuse, this should be current
Supervisory experience, able to work autonomously as required
Eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship
Car driver with UK driving licence
