Liverpool Streetscene Services Ltd established in 2016 is a wholly owned subsidiary company of Liverpool City Council who sit at the heart of creating exceptional standards of environmental cleanliness and public realm services for residents, communities and local businesses across the city of Liverpool.

As a direct service provider, Liverpool Streetscene Services Ltd are responsible for the refuse and recycling collection service, street cleansing, grounds maintenance, highways maintenance and parks and green space maintenance contracts throughout the city of Liverpool. These services are key to ensuring the city of Liverpool remains clean, green and accessible to all, helping to develop and maintain local civic pride.

We are seeking to recruit a number of Streetscene operatives on a fixed-term contract working in areas of the city where the LCC & LSSL are undertaking essential alleyway repairs.

The purpose of the role is to carry out manual work and driving across the Streetscene service in designated areas of the city. The successful candidates will be responsible for the general cleansing and maintenance of streets and alleyways using a variety of plant and equipment to ensure they are maintained to an acceptable and agreed standard.

You will work flexibly as part of a team to cover the full working week which includes weekend working to ensure excellent standards are achieved across all sites and adopt a ‘pride in your patch’ approach to any areas of the city you are assigned.

To fulfil the requirements of the role, you will need to hold a UK Driving License (Category B) and have previous experience in street cleansing or waste collection service. Previous experience in operating small plant machinery and driving non LGV vehicles is essential. The successful candidates will be committed to contributing to team goals, positive about taking on tasks and responsibility, and have the ability to maintain a positive and proactive approach.
