Storesperson (1-2 month fixed-term)
Based at our Barnstaple office EX31 1LY
£23,000 per annum. DOE + Benefits inc. half day Friday, flexi time and more

What you’ll do
As Storesperson, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring that all general warehouse/stores activities are handled in a timely, professional and safe manner. You’ll carry out a variety of tasks to support the general operations of SEA’s Barnstaple warehouse, from control and handling of materials, parts, packaging and consumables, to dispatch and inventory. Your responsibilities include:
· Kitting of components and recording of component batches prior to issue for assembly
· Periodic stock checking and location of receipted stock items, maintenance of accurate stock records in the stock management
· Goods In / Goods Out operations, this will involve the use of a forklift and / or manual lifting
· Maintain good housekeeping and 5S
· Maintain accurate and timely control of stock records on the various stock management systems, including Customer and MoD Loan stock
· Understand and implement the company environmental, health & safety policy by accepting individual responsibility and responsibility for those personnel under their authority, including others who may be affected by the company’s activities
Please note that while a forklift license is not required for this role (thought is beneficial), manual handling will be involved.
What you’ll bring
· Previous experience of stores/packing procedures would be an advantage
· IT literate with good numeric skills, methodical, with good attention to detail
· Must be self-motivated and able to work unsupervised
· Ability to drive a forklift would be an advantage (training could, however, be provided), ability to manage manual handling of materials is necessary
