Stores Operative with Forklift Licence (Days)

Job Purpose

Receiving, storing and issuing materials in a timely and accurate manner as well as performing skilled tasks including operating FLT and utilising Remote Warehouse (our client’s Warehouse Management System).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Receive and book onto Remote Warehouse all inbound materials
● Put away to storage locations all materials received
● Pick, pack and issue all outbound materials as required by the customer
● Operate FLT in a safe and effective manner
● Conduct all tasks in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and Health, Safety and Environmental policies
● Ensure stock integrity through regular stock counts
● Input, interrogate and retrieve data within the Warehouse Management System as required in performing all tasks
● Undertake housekeeping to maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment
● Respond to customer queries and requests swiftly and accurately
● Participate in Continuous Improvement activities to improve operational processes and customer satisfaction
● Understand the KPIs and take appropriate actions to ensure targets are met
● Understand and utilise the clients’ philosophy, system and tools
● Participate in and pass all training courses as required by the business
● Behave in a professional manner at all times in accordance with our clients’ HR policies

ESSENTIALS:

• Current Forklift licence (refreshers course available if required)
• Good level of literacy and numeracy
• Prepared for a physical role
• IT literate including the use of e-mail, word-processing and spreadsheet software
• Prior experience in a warehouse environment
• A flexible approach to working hours, shift patterns and annual leave in accordance with the needs of the business

DESIRABLE:

● NVQ in a warehouse related discipline
● Full UK driving licence
● HSE qualification
