Stores – Goods in Assistant

Salary: £27,600 – £33,600 per year

This National corporate organisation is seeking an experienced Stores Keeper/ to carry out a variety of duties as listed

Main Duties & Responsibilities

* Assist with the booking in and taking delivery of goods

* Ensuring the safe storage of goods by moving stock around the warehouse by hand, using lifting gear or a counter balance forklift truck

* Process and check deliveries against delivery notes, ensuring that any missing or damaged items are record and raised with the supplier

* Ensure the safe use of all stores lifting and moving aids (including where appropriate counter balance fork lift trucks), as well as using Personal Protective Equipment provided where necessary

* Maintain safe, clean and tidy work areas and walkways

* Help to ensure that the company’s Health and Safety at Work policy is adhered to, factoring in their own safety as well as that of other colleagues and visitors Provide information on stock availability

* Accurately process all goods receipt documentation

* Undertake other similar duties that may be assigned to you

Skills & Requirements

* Experience within an engineering stores/warehouse environment would be ideal, however not essential

* FLT licence is preferred, but not essential

Strong knowledge of health and safety measures and practices

* Able to safely use lifting and handling equipment

* Good literacy and numeracy skills

* Good communication skills
