An opportunity has arisen for a Store Person to work within a successful manufacturing plant based in Newton Aycliffe.

The ideal candidate will display the following characteristics:

• Similar experience in a past role
• The ability to work with minimal supervision and meet set deadlines
• Computer literacy is essential, knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts is desirable
• A methodical approach to work and ensure operating procedures for the stores are enforced on all levels
• Well organized and focused on service delivery
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and multitask
• Current Fork Lift truck License

The day to day duties of this role include but are not limited to the following:

• To execute the receiving and dispatching of stock to and from customers and suppliers
• Raise delivery notes against the relevant accounts
• Return stock to suppliers for repairs and exchange
• Ensure all stock has serial numbers
• Prepare stock requirements timeously
• Prepare parcels correctly and in time for collection by courier companies, ensuring all documentation is prepared in a timely fashion
• Maintain effective stock control at all times
• Complete GRN of stock received from suppliers
• Administer all paperwork and delivery notes as per defined procedures
• Establishing and maintaining a structured filing system
• Ensure Minimum and Maximum stock thresholds are maintained at all times
• Take a leading role in stock take activities
• Using the fork lift truck to move stock around the plant

This vacancy is a good opportunity for an experienced Storeman who is looking for a new challenge and an independent role.

The successful candidate will work 39 hours per week. Hours of work – Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm, Friday: 8:00am – 3:30pm.

£26,000 per year depending on experience
