We are looking for the best Store Managers to join during a period of significant growth. You must be highly organised, professional and possess a positive and motivational style of management. As well as being able to delegate, coach and mentor, you will possess a strong work ethic, willing to work in a fast paced and demanding environment. You must be currently operating in a store management position with responsibility for a team of at least 20 and preferable more staff.

A key criteria is the ability to lead by example as this is also a hands on role with physical demands such as stock replenishment and heavy lifting. In addition the managers work alongside the staff on the front line and you must be able to demonstrate your own aptitude for daily tasks. This role also enables managers to influence the store ordering process to ensure product availability is maximised, increasing the commercial advantage over competitors in the supermarket industry.

As well as driving sales through excellent customer service, you will need to demonstrate a strong grasp and awareness cost control, specifically inventory controls and optimum productivity. If you thrive on working in a fast paced environment with ever changing priorities then this could be a great opportunity to earn a market leading Store Manager salary of £48,000 – £60,000 plus. Starting salary for Store Managers is around £37,000 (negotiable upwards) rising annually with a generous bonus scheme after around 3 months training.

We are interested in hearing from candidates from a wide range of backgrounds, particularly well known high street and discount brands. A food retail is not essential as long as you are currently managing multi-million annual turnover and teams of 20 plus staff. Candidates are also required to work 48 hours a week, usually made up of 4.5 days, but unlike many other retailers, working hours are protected and controlled at the 48 hour mark. You must also be happy to work flexible hours with early starts and late finishes, ideally candidates will possess a full driving licence.
