Salary: £26,000 per year
Our client is a leading manufacturer supporting the water, gas and key infrastructure industries.
Working as part of the logistics team, the successful applicant will assist in ensuring product is correctly allocated and also be responsible for the physical movement of product from manufacturing to designated areas using forklift equipment.
Additionally, the role requires product movements to be accurately recorded on to the company’s SAP style system, requiring prior knowledge of data entry.
Other duties will include assisting to unload inbound consignments and load product for shipment. Identifying product issues via visual inspection is also part of the post-holders remit.
Ideally candidates will be highly experienced in the use of forklift equipment (which may include counterbalance, reach or ideally sideloader forklifts).
The company have a dedication towards health and safety requiring operators to work in a safe, timely manner in accordance with health and safety guidance.Applicants should therefore have knowledge relating to such practices.
Previous experience of working within a similar, external stockyard environment is highly desirable. With the ability to communicate effectively with strong interpersonal skills, the post holder will be required to report effectively into management.

Hours of work
Permanent night shift on a 4 on 4 off rotation.
12 hour shifts – 6pm to 6am.
