Are you an experienced risk management professional looking for an exciting new challenge? StepChange Debt Charity is looking for an experienced Risk Frameworks and Reporting Manager to join our team.
You will support, develop and embed the effectiveness of the Charity’s Risk Management Framework and its utilisation by the 1st line of defence, providing assurance to senior management and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Where you’ll work:
We operate a hybrid working model combining remote working with some days in our modern Leeds city centre office.
What you will be doing:
Overall responsibility for maintaining the charity’s risk management framework, policies, processes and systems to ensure effective risk oversight that meets regulatory requirements. This includes the roll-out of control self-assessment.
Work with the charity and its subsidiaries to embed a risk culture and risk management practices that are focused on helping the charity to achieve its strategic objectives.
Input into strategic development as required using stakeholder management to inform strategic decision making proactively or reactively.
Oversee an effective framework for the identification, management and resolution of risk events reported across the organisation, working with key stakeholders on the highest priority risk events.

What we want from you:
Demonstrable experience in a role working in a Conduct focused FCA regulated environment, including direct experience of Enterprise Wide Risk Management (EWRM) approaches, tools and techniques.
Familiarity with the regulatory and legal frameworks relevant to the charity and a good working knowledge and understanding of policy, regulatory and legislation issues specific to Debt and related issues including CONC, SYSC, PERG and the overarching FCA Principles for Business.
A good awareness of the current and future Financial Services regulatory landscape
Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of business procedures and practices, coupled with a strong understanding of risk models, management and reporting methodologies.
Have knowledge and experience related to the application of relevant regulation and legislation relating to: MCOB, CASS, Insolvency and Financial Crime and AML
Hold a relevant compliance qualification and/or have a proven record of continuous professional development
