STEEL ERECTION PROJECT MANAGER – DONCASTER

Who we are looking for
We are looking for a Steel Erection Project Manager to manage and oversee multiple steel installation projects. The business is well known for projects in the Railway and Highways Industry, working alongside various Tier 1 Contractors, so this would be a great position for someone who has experience in the steelwork industry and would like to apply their skills, knowledge and experience on other well-known, large scale projects.

This role could also be well suited to a steel foreman/Supervisor looking for a step up to management.

Essential Knowledge / Experience

* Hands-on attitude to assist the installation team when required

* Excellent knowledge and ability to read engineering drawings, structural steelwork drawings, connection details and specifications of various quality

* Ability to site survey and provide detailed information for fabrication and installation

* Ability to coordinate the Design; Production & Installation of Projects; fully understand the project requirements/scope of works/specifications etc.

* Ability to liaise with Clients Project Team and Designers

* Ability to manage various site installation teams ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

* Ability to produce Risk Assessments and Method Statements

* Slinger and Banksman

* SMSTS

* SSSTS

* PTS (Ideally needed but could be completed following the appointment – Drugs/Alcohol Medical will be required)

* IPAF

* PASMA

Hours: Normal working hours Mon-Friday (39 Hours)

The company are a multi-disciplined engineering company with a wealth of capabilities that include detailed design, manufacture, machining and finish treatment coatings of many different types of products, all of which are manufactured, assembled and delivered.

The main purpose of the role is to manage and oversee the structural steelwork installation on a number of projects.

The company supply a number of industries, ensuring a varied workload. Projects will include:

* Railway Stations (Access For all Schemes)

* Rail Bridges

* Footbridges

* Road Bridges

* Lift Shafts

* Platform Canopies

* Staircases

* Gantries

* Railway Maintenance Depots

* Structural Steelwork Repairs on existing Bridges or Infrastructure

* Temporary Works

* Bearings

* Sub-Contract Works Packages i.e. Glazing, Cladding, Balustrades etc…

The role will occasionally involve weekend possession working, night working depending on the type of work the company are undertaking and you will at times be expected to work away from home. as and The role will be office based when not on site.
