Nurse Plus Permanent Division
Salary: £27,836 – £31,762 per year
We are currently seeking enthusiastic Staff Nurses (RNLD or RMN) to join our Client’s independent hospital which provides assessment and intervention for men and women who have a learning disability and complex needs including people who have mental health problems and behaviours that challenge services in Dundee, Scotland. The hospital is comprised of two services. One offers more intensive support for up to 12 people and one which prepares up to 12 service users who are moving towards residential or supported living provision.
The role:
As a Staff Nurse you will contribute to the effective and efficient day to day leadership and management of the service as directed by the Management team.
You will participate in:
•Communications, including dissemination of corporate communications, staff meetings etc.
•Clinical Supervision, Appraisal and Performance Management
•Staff Development (Including Continued Professional Development) and training
•Managing Positive Behaviour and Culture (ABC) within the service
•Administration and ensuring that information and reports relating to the service are provided to relevant parties in an accurate and timely fashion
•Medication management and safe working systems
•Undertake the role of Key Worker and in this role be involved with the direct supervision of staff
The successful Staff nurse should be RNLD, RMN or RNMH qualified and have a full understanding of The Modernising Learning Disability Nurse Agenda. Preceptorship programme available.
