Solution Architect | Life Sciences | Cambridge / Remote / Hybrid | £57,000 – £79,000

Langham Recruitment are proud to be recruiting for a high-profile genomics institute / life sciences organisation supporting science and governments globally in tackling a range of diseases including Covid-19.
As a Solution Architect you will be responsible for designing and implementing system architecture for a complex suite of digital solutions for disease tracking (inc Covid-19), providing for registering and tracking genetic samples to web-based portals, sample tracking and data analytics.
 
Role:
Implement & maintain enterprise architecture practices, whilst developing a holistic picture of the as-is architecture used to collaborate with various stake holders. Keep all relevant documentation up to date and in line with all relevant governance framework.
Work collaboratively with Data Architects & Engineer, Product Management Team and Product Owners to interpret relevant requirements, processes, and business information to produce quality E2E solution designs.
 
Technical Skills
Essential

Demonstrated experience in a comparable role – With clear knowledge of a range of technologies,
Able to demonstrate clear understanding of best practice & sound architecture,
Experience working on a range of complex architecture across multiple platforms,
TOGAF,
Knowledge of API / Service Oriented Architecture,
Strong knowledge of DevOps,
Strong Open source experience,
OpenStack / AWS / Google Cloud platform
Working with Enterprise web applications,
Ability to work with stakeholders at all levels,
A strategic thinker,
Able to own full end to end processes, 
Desirable

Excellent attention to detail, accurate and thorough,
BI design & implementation – Tableau / Azure / Business Objects
