Solution Architect

Solution Architect to work for a Central Government Client based in Central Leeds.

This is a temporary position to provide technical support regarding: * Document the design principles for healthcare interoperability; * Improve current interoperability artefacts produced by the Technical Architecture and Infrastructure Directorate (TAID); * Manage the Interoperability User Groups for the identification of new/changed business requirements and approval of design(s) and specifications; * Define the system interaction models for recurring use cases; * manage the user surveys and lead / contribute to the user group communication plan and activities; * Ensure the traceability of NHS requirements against system designs; * Provide specialist advice on architectural interoperability matters This role will reside within the existing Technical Architecture and Infrastructure team that support Interoperability and ITK.

Main Duties/ Responsibilities:
Main duties will include: * Engagement with suppliers regarding documented and defined Interoperability requirements, for example assuring: o Messaging and CDA integration. o IG compliance. * Responding to queries related to Interoperability requirements. * Helping to prepare for process improvements, document and content management improvements, artefact templates and evaluation criteria. * Consolidation of existing ITK requirement materials in to a central, fully catalogued service.

Outputs/ Deliverables to be achieved:
The role is largely around Interoperability Requirements and Assurance (hence the requirement for professional services) so specific deliverables are difficult to define up front. But as part of the assurance against existing requirements we would expect report(s) on non-compliance and action plans to remedy these. This is in addition to the lessons learned and engagement closure report we require at the end of the contract. Other deliverables will be dependent on Interoperability requirements materials in to a single catalogues repository. Review and update of technical assurance processes, artefacts and checklists with a view to preparation for publication of updated ITK specifications in the new year.

Skills/ Experience Required:
* Strong skills and experience in Solution architecture definition and assurance of solutions. * Strong understanding of messaging, integration and application architecture. * Broad understanding of healthcare and primary care * Working with stakeholders
