Solicitor – Residential Property

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated residential property lawyer, looking to join one of the Southwest’s leading law firms. This provides the opportunity of working within a busy, reputable and successful team, albeit, to grow and expand the firm’s offering towards Plymouth and Cornwall. Based in the firm’s Plymouth office (with hybrid-working available), you will be able to work independently as the sole conveyancer in this office, alongside the other people in the office in different teams. We are looking for someone to take on a high degree of responsibility for the cases you’re working on from the outset, with plenty of opportunity for client contact, whilst providing you with a supportive and stimulating team environment. The ideal candidate will have experience of dealing with high-net-worth clients and possibly with an agricultural twist. There may be the potential to grow the team in future, as the caseload grows.

Skills and experience sought:

• Solicitor / CILEx with strong experience behind them already
• Previous fee-earning experience within residential property for high-net-worth clients
• Agriculture experience would be a benefit
• Must be a self-starter, as this person will be the sole conveyancer in the Plymouth office (at least for now)
• Excellent communication skills to be able to build and forge strong client relationships
• Good commercial judgement, with the ability to find the best possible outcome for clients
