Salary: £42,000 – £54,000 per year

• £42,000 – £54,000 per annum

COMPANY INFORMATION: My client is an Manufacturer who have come up with new innovative technology in the Renewable Energy sector.

YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

Experience in software testing

Knowledge and experience with testing methodologies

Knowledge and experience of Agile, Scrum or other iterative development philosophies

Experience in software development

Experience with testing platforms or frameworks

Degree or Diploma in relevant field

Able to work with a multi discipline and diverse team

Strong communication skills and high level of written English.

Test engineer must be able to understand decisions made, questioning appropriately. Also needs to accurately describe functional errors

SKILLS:

Experience with Azure DevOps

Experience with PLCs, preferably Beckhoff

Experience with LabVIEW

Familiarity with JAML and JUnit

Experienced in testing firmware on hardware devices.

Experienced in both Functional and Non-functional testing

Good analytical skills.

Knowledge of testing approaches and techniques.

Proven problem-solving skills.

Understanding of the iterative software development lifecycle.

Ability to contribute to all aspects of the development lifecycle, with test focus.

Basic understanding of test automation, principles and techniques.

Determination to ensure production quality output is produced by the team.

Focused on the delivery of effective, thorough testing.

Adaptability – agreed changes to functionality processes or workloads must be accommodated often at short notice.

Organised – able to work on multiple projects or functional areas simultaneously.

Able to adopt a pragmatic approach where circumstances allow. (deadlines / multiple priorities)

ROLE INFORMATION:

• Involvement in development of User Stories and acceptance criteria to ensure testability
• Development of Test Plans, Test Cases and User Story Acceptance Tests
• Carry out software testing
• Document and monitor test outcomes and establish steps to resolve issues
• Work closely with other engineers across multiple disciplines to identify fault source and assist with fault resolution
• Implementing existing test plans for developed software
• Reviewing software test cases and checking of same
• Performing regression test duties
• Using a tracking system to track reported problems with software
• Preparing software test evaluation reports
• Implementing and participating in walkthroughs of software
• Contributing to planning, retrospective, daily and ad hoc meetings as required
