Job Title: Software Engineering Manager – Salesforce (Or CRM experience)

Location: Hybrid working; you may be expected to join in-person meetings at our Abingdon Head Office (Oxfordshire) up to once a month.

Who are you: As a Software Engineering Manager, you blend Salesforce expertise with a strong commitment to leading and nurturing your team. Through mentorship, fostering open communication, and championing a collaborative and learning-oriented environment, you ensure that your team excels and grows.

Who are we:

We bring digital happiness and brilliant broadband to rural communities – We are a dynamic internet service provider. We bring broadband infrastructure where there is little provision. Our internal and external stakeholders range from a village of potential customers, small businesses, through to councils, investors, and financiers. We have a small army of field engineers and multiple complex systems.

What will you do: The core objective of our Development Team is to enable the various business departments with high-functioning Salesforce solutions. You will oversee projects focused on enhancing our Salesforce CRM capabilities, optimizing business processes, and enabling superior customer engagement.

In this growth phase, we’re seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager who will guide, mentor, and expand our team of Salesforce Developers and Architects. Your leadership will ensure that your team collaborates effectively with Salesforce Administrators, QAs, and Product Owners. Together, you will drive continuous improvement, self-organization, and the application of best practices in software engineering within the context of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

You will emphasize high-quality software delivery, advocating for well-designed code, scalable Salesforce solutions, systematic reviews, and automation in testing and deployment processes.

Partnering with the Product Lead and the Chief Information Officer, your insights will shape the recruitment strategy and contribute to the development of the wider department.

Our Agile mindset is essential to adapt quickly to evolving business needs, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to make significant contributions to a variety of projects.

We cultivate a supportive, diverse, and inclusive workplace, with a strong focus on personal and professional growth through regular code reviews, developer huddles, mentoring opportunities, and comprehensive training programs.

What You Should Know: Proven experience in managing Salesforce engineers within an Agile framework is essential, whether it’s been as a Team Lead or a line manager. Experience managing both in-house and offshore team members would be highly beneficial.

In return: Up to £70k & Bonus (DOE), 25 days holiday, a robust pension, and healthcare benefits.
