Salary: £480 – £960 per day

Position: Software Engineer / DevOps Engineer

Speciality on Software Configuration, Build, Test, Release and Deployment Consultant.

Location: Stevenage OR Portsmouth

SC Clearance Most beneficial (ideally active)

Airbus experience would be greatly appreciated.

Start: ASAP / Beginning of October

ROLE 1:

Services:

Bug report and project monitoring (ClearQuest, Jira & Redmine)

* Operate platforms linked to the Development Forge

* Bug report and project monitoring (ClearQuest, Jira & Redmine)

* Software configuration management (ClearCase, Bitbucket, Git, Subversion)

* Collaborative sharing (Confluence)

* Forge DevOps (Artifactory, Sonarqube, Jenkins, Nexus,…)

* Manage the installation and deployment on user workstations of a set of applications related to software development (more than 50 applications to manage)

* Provide support to users

* Monitor environments (Linux servers) and ensure their maintenance

* Manage data migration as necessary

Tasks:

1. Applications Support (Installation, upgrades, incident and request management)

2. Infrastructure administration (Red Hat Linux/Kickstart/VM Ware Systems)

3. System updates (Applications, Middleware and Database)

4. Liaison with customer for needs capture and testing

5. Liaison with other Information Management (IM) support groups (Data Centre Services, Networks, IT Security)

6. Basic hardware diagnostics

ROLE 2:

Subversion EdgeFlexNet Code Insight (formerly Palamida)

Tasks:

Applications Support (Installation, upgrades, incident and request management)

Creation and management of new user accounts and groups (incl. resetting of passwords)

Set up of group access rights

Maintain templates and data archives

Manage data storage requirements

Manage Backup function and integrity

Prepare, test and monitor Disaster Recovery Plan

Infrastructure administration (Windows Server (DCS Maintained))

System updates (Applications, Middleware and Database)

Liaison with customer for needs capture and testing

Liaison with other Information Management (IM) support groups (Data Centre Services, Networks, IT Security, DBA)

Basic hardware diagnostics

Documentation Management – recording, generating, update and maintenance (incl. knowledge transfer preparation)
