Are you a Software Engineer, Data Engineer or Data Scientist who loves to create new prototypes and research new solutions? Do you enjoy working with data and solving analytics challenges and come from a Computer Science or Software Engineering background?

You’ll be working on a range of projects, creating new tools and prototypes, carrying out research and development activities and supporting the end to end process.

What will you be doing as a Software Engineer / Data Engineer / Data Scientist in Analytics team?
– Developing new, prototype analytical solutions and products
– Exploring and improving technologies and analytical methods to improve analytical output, working with emerging data sources
– Bringing software development best practice to the team
– Research and development
– Working both autonomously but also in an agile team

What skills are we looking for in the Software Engineer / Data Engineer / Data Scientist?
– You’ll need a keen interest and desire to progress your career within data and analytics,
– An understanding of statistical modelling software (R / SAS / Matlab / Pandas)
– Software engineering expertise such as Java/ Python/ C#
– Experience with SQL databases
– Experience in recent technologies such as machine learning, the Hadoop ecosystem (ideally Spark) would be beneficial, as would a postgraduate degree or research experience
