Salary: £33,600 – £42,000 per year
A manufacturer of marine electronics is seeking a Software Engineer for their site in Lancashire.
Working with a team of five developers, you will be helping deliver customers with the best economical solutions for embedded systems (mostly ARM) and PC (Windows and Linux). The normal programming languages are C, C++, with Python or Perl for scripting. Useful skills / knowledge includes Qt, TCP/IP sockets, HTML5, image processing (OpenCV).
Main Duties:
• Producing stable, reliable, readable C/C++, Python code
• Documenting test specifications and formal testing of software so as to satisfy internal QA requirements.
• Liaising with the customer and working with the team to define requirements and objectives
• Reusing code
• Ensuring conformance with good OOO / structured design practices
• Technical and customer support
Skills and experience required:
Essential:
• Writing and testing software applications C/C++, Python
• Window and Linux
• Git
Desirable:
• QT
• TCP/IP sockets
• HTML5
• Image processing (OpenCV)
