Salary: £55,500 per year
Our client is an independent educational charity that develops future leaders by providing a welcoming residential community for international postgraduate students and their families. We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Soft Services Manager to work within their Facilities & Estate team. This role will oversee the management of catering/cleaning contacts, they will ensure that the outsource partners are adhering to terms and ensure smooth delivery of Soft FM services, along with overseeing the management of health and safety, fire safety, statutory compliance.
Main Responsibilities
* Review, develop, and procure Soft FM services in consultation with the Head of FM, using the latest methods, technology and industry trends to offer an improved service delivery service is delivered in line with agreed KPIs
* Set the scope and specifications for the cleaning requirements and ensure that the required standards are maintained through audits and SLAs
* Undertake audits of the cleaning and catering service standards, and ensure all documentation, including audit reports, are accessible for operational or Executive level review
* Manage PPM delivery for Soft FM activities, and ensure contractors are meeting their statutory obligations in the provision of services
* Lead monthly contract review meetings with Soft FM providers, and be responsible for ensuring the production of timely management reports to the Head of FM
* Manage the P&L for members catering, including pricing for all menus and establishing an appropriate gross profit target
Essential
* Soft FM management experience within a relevant business operation
* Proven track record of managing catering and cleaning contracts, and budgets
* Knowledge of Health and Safety qualification either NBOSH or IOSH preferred but not essential
* The incumbent must be numerate, possess excellent communication skills and can motivate/organise staff resources effectively and efficiently.
* Some experience in P&L financial and budgetary control/management
