Social Worker Advice & Assesments

Social Worker required for work within the Assessment Team in the Plymouth area in Devon.

Social Worker is required to join a Children’s team within the front line services Assessment Team based in the Plymouth region. Candidates must have experience of working within the Assessment setting within Social Care.

·Undertake initial assessments and section 47 Child Protection investigations and hold all open cases of ongoing family support and children subject to a child protection plan.
·Allow for the provision of high quality support and intervention for those with long term needs within children and families and early child protection matters. This professional social work service will work in close partnership with our multi agency preventative teams.
·Managing a diverse and complex caseload
·Constant contact within all teams of the Children’s & Families Social Care and external agencies to address children’s and their families needs with best possible outcomes.
·Communicate with line managers identifying professional development and training that would be beneficial personally and to the team as a whole.

Requirements:
Minimum 12 months post qualifying experience within the relative team.
HCPC was GSCC
Current enhanced CRB (within last 12mths)
Recognised social work qualification
Ideally a driver with access to own car
Able to reside and work in the UK
