Smart Data and Analytics Manager
Job Description
Base location –Nottingham or Kingswinford (Hybrid)
Fixed term – 6 months
Salary – Circa £60k – £70k plus excellent benefits

This a leadership position within Smart Field Connections Transformation and Governance, responsible for the transformation of executive, external and operational data.
You are responsible for developing automated dashboards and providing detailed insights that inform executive decision making, drive operational action and satisfy regulatory scrutiny.
It requires developing strong relationships with key stakeholders, automating processes for operational efficiency and constantly improving the provision and understanding of management information. The responsibilities also include being the data owner for Smart, Metering and Field Data, expanding the Data and Analytics team’s influence and ensuring the transition to a cloud-based solution for Smart Field Data.
Additionally, the role involves curating updates for the UK Board, championing new data analytical techniques, collaborating across functions for commercial decision-making, and transforming legacy MI reporting into a cloud-based visualization solution.
Overall, the role emphasizes governance, regulatory compliance, collaboration and a commitment to evolving MI/BI practices in line with industry best standards.
What we need from you
- Excellent influencing and communication skills with the ability to explain technical details in non-technical terms, influence senior stakeholders and carry out presentations in a confident manner.
- Excellent time management, planning and organisational skills.

- Strong conceptual and analytical skills and the ability to accurately present complex circumstances.
- Self-motivation and able to work with others in a team environment.
- Clear evidence of strategic thinking and analytical skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior level with the ability to build effective working relationships.
- In depth knowledge of the data lifecycle.
- Track record of developing and delivering management information reporting to stakeholders and associated root cause analysis and intelligence.
- Experience of shaping, motivating and driving change.
