Salary: £52,664 per year
A global food and drink manufacturer have an immediate requirement for a Site Services Engineer, on a 3’s and 2’s Panama shift pattern, working 12 hour days and nights. This is a multi-skilled position working within the production plant. This is a permanent opportunity in Burton Latimer / Kettering.

Salary: £ 43,887 + £2,772 shift allowance (rising to £48,123 + shift allowance after completion of 3 month probation), enhanced pension scheme (4% employee – 8% employer), private healthcare scheme, and many other benefits
The Role
The Shift Engineer (site services) will:
The successful candidate will be responsible for 3 areas of the business, utilities, waste water treatment plant and general site services
Managing and controlling utilities such as air compressors, refrigeration, boilers, cooling towers, air handling units
Managing, controlling and operating the waste water treatment plant, associated equipment, MBR plant and water reuse system
Managing and controlling general site services
Daily boiler and utilities checks
Manage the waste water treatment plant and carry out laboratory analysis if required
Develop relationship with contractors to ensure support is maintained for plant operation
Plant checks followed by corrective action
Carry out investigations and repairs identified by Site Service Team and Process Engineer
The Person
Exposure to working in a similar FMCG environment
Experience working with steam boilers, air compressors, boiler water treatment, water softening plant and refrigeration equipment
Experience working with waste water treatment plants and managing site waste
A time served and qualified electrically biased engineer, who is multi-skilled with mechanical experience
Ideal qualified to 16th or 17th edition wiring regulations
Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
Knowledge of safe working practices
Exposure to hygiene standards in a food environment
The ideal candidate will have a sense of urgency when problems are identified
