Site Services Engineer

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Site Services Engineer to join the Engineering team. The successful applicant will report to the Engineering Manager and will be responsible for ensuring services and buildings are well maintained and any defects, improvements or repairs are carried out in an efficient and timely manner.

Responsibilities will include: –
·Carrying out building maintenance, installation and plant services equipment repairs
·Conduct routine plant services preventative maintenance
·Monitor and control engineering stock levels, ordering and replacing stock via the engineering buyer
·Carry out legislative testing and inspections
·Supervise plant services installations
·Ensure the close monitoring and control of contractors
·Provide assistance to the maintenance team and provide emergency callout cover where required
·Ensure all procedures and systems are kept up to date
·Comply with Health & Safety, Food Hygiene and Environmental Legislation

The successful applicant will have the following skills/qualifications: –
·Have gained engineering skills in electrical or multi-skilled electrical bias
·Hold a formal engineering qualification minimum NVQ Level 3/C&G Level 3
·Be able to fault find and problem solve both electrically and mechanically
·Have an excellent understanding of site, buildings and machinery compliance to health and safety requirements including PUWER & COSHH
·Knowledge of general building practices, working with water and electrical appliances and experience of maintaining boilers.
·Attention to detail, personable with excellent verbal and written communication skills
·Be flexible in approach to shift cover and over busy trading periods
