Salary: £28.8 – £31.2 per hour
My client, a well-established civil engineering contractor in the Midlands are looking for a full time setting out engineer.
You will be responsible for:
Setting out all aspects of residential groundworks, such as:o Roads & sewers
o Footings
o Drainage
o Kerbing & Roads
o Services
Surveys
Checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations.
Carrying out Quality Checks.
Liaising with housing developer
Producing QA reportsIdeal candidate:
You will be able to operate one-man total station, read drawings, mark up the site drawings and produce as built surveys
Proven track record as a Setting Out/Site Engineer with at least 5 years’ experience in the role
Experience working on medium to large scale residential groundworks packages
Experience with roads & sewers
Experience using AutoCAD
Experience with all aspects of civil engineering & groundworksThe position is to start immediately on a permanent basis. All applicants must show at least 5 years’ experience working for a UK based Sub Contractor in civil engineering & groundworks with supporting references. Candidates must also have a valid CSCS and full UK driver’s license.
