Site Engineer

Our client is looking to recruit Site Engineers to undertake duties on a number of projects around the Central Belt.

Main responsibilities:
Carry out instrumental checks

Complete records of quality audits

Provide feedback to the Site Agent regarding areas where corrective action needs to be taken

Establish the level and survey control for contracts

Set out detailed works as per the contract drawings ensuring that checks are made on a regular basis

Deliver the work safely and without environmental incidents

Deliver the work to the specified quality without defects

Assist the Site Agent and Design Co-ordinator in developing efficient work methods and techniques ensuring that the best use of resources and abilities are made

Essential Skills/Experience:
Previous experience of civil works including excavations, ducting, drainage and concrete works
Knowledge of contract conditions, CDM regulations, design management, programme and risk management and cost control including forecasting, actual cost and value reporting
Excellent record keeping and report writing
Experience of MS project
Educated as a minimum to HNC/HND/Degree level (or equivalent) in civil engineering
CSCS
IOSH Supervising Safety

Desirable:
Scottish Power training/accreditation (EN-1, WI-2, AME)
First Aid certification
IOSH Managing Safety
Experience of civil construction works within a live substation environment or tunnelling
