Site Assistant – Full Time

Salary C1 (£26,000 – £27,524)

The post holder will undertake responsibilities as a member of the Estates team together with the day to day management and high standards of health and safety leadership along with the setting, development and implementation of policies, plans, targets, practices and procedures related to health and safety within the context of the vision, ethos, aims and goals of the Trust.

Under direction of the Site Supervisor to be responsible for the security of the school buildings and grounds subject to the needs of the school, undertake repair and cleaning of premises, fixtures and fittings including removal of all waste to compound areas.

As a member of the site team to ensure that appropriate standards of behaviour, performance and customer care are demonstrated at all times and adhere to the ethos of the Trust.

Proactively to develop effective working relationships with staff, pupils, parents, academy governors, Trust directors and other stakeholders as part of the estates team

Operational Duties

To act as key holder and to respond to out of hours call outs.
To meet and attend to contractors visiting and working on the site as directed by Site Supervisor.
To assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment, undertaking emergency cleaning tasks as required, ensuring issues relating to health & safety are reported to the Site Supervisor.
To assist with the use and lettings of the site and its buildings, including the set up of rooms.
To receive all goods and supplies delivered to the school and to correctly distribute and store goods. Undertake additional portage duties as required within health and safety guidance i.e. manual handling regulations.
To assist with the efficient working of heating plant and lighting, monitor fuel consumption and reorder where necessary.
Any other tasks as reasonably designated by the Estates and Facilities Manager or Site Supervisor and commensurate with the level of the postThe successful candidate will:

Have a good standard of education to NVQ Level 2
Hold or be studying for site management, health & safety or other qualifications
Have a trade such as plumbing or carpentry
Hold B1 or Full Driving LicenceYou will be;

Able to work under own initiative have good personal, administrative and time management skills.
