Shift Area Manager (6 Month Fixed Term Contract)

Based in Edinburgh our client requires an Experienced Shift Manager/Production Manager for a 6 month fixed term contract for a renowned British Brand in the food industry. This role is a dayshift role.

The Candidate:

Previous experience in a production/area manager role within the food or drink industry
Experience of delivering on KPI’s
High level of professional/specialist technical knowledge in manufacturing
Successful application of continuous improvement techniques (ie Lean projects)The role:

Implement the planning programme for your designated area as scheduled.
Manage the efficient running of your designated area’s over an entire shift.
Assist in implementing plans as agreed with the Area Manager and review to support continuous and sustained improvements in business performance.
Ensure systems and controls are in place to meet customer codes of practice
Liaise with Planning, Engineering and other functions as appropriate to ensure budgeted standards
