Sewing Production Operative

Oakland House Recruitment are looking for a Sewing / Production operative to work for our prestige client in Stone. Your role will be to manufacture and assemble, assembly 7’s, heating tapes, heating cords, knitting, hand sewing (but may be asked to assemble mechanical and electrical components for sub-assemblies and finished products).

Main responsibilities of the job

To ensure that all production job kits are checked and correct in line with corresponding route card.
To use an over locking/sewing machine to create heating element product assemblies.
To manufacture/assemble all products to a high standard of quality and in a timely manner in line with works instructions (PJPs) and company procedure.
To ensure that all product testing is carried out by an authorised person.
To ensure that all production documentation is completed in accordance with company procedure.
To ensure that all production tooling set ups are checked with first off sampling by an authorised person prior to commencing production

Skills, Experience and Competences

Experience within the machine over locking, sewing and knitting industry is essential.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work to own initiative and to prioritise and organise workload.
Ability to work flexibly and respond to change.
Positive, hardworking attitude and results orientated approach to work.
High level of Customer focus and determination to deliver

This is a temporary to permanent role for the right candidate.

Salary: £26,000per year rising to £9.51 after a successful probation period.
