Service Upholsterer

We are looking for skilled upholstery technicians to cover the South East London area.

Our client is the market leader in its field. They offer a furniture repair and restoration service for their clients. The Service Technicians provide highly efficient, upholstery, leather & cabinetry repairs for furniture customers in their homes.

You will be required to inspect and assess faulty furniture in customers’ homes and then recommend or undertake corrective action using your upholstery knowledge and skill.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in upholstery and be familiar with one or more of the following; production of new furniture, traditional methods of upholstery, leather furniture/repairs, re-upholstery or re-covering. If you have worked for a furniture repair company before this would be an advantage although by no means essential.

If successful candidates will attend head office for full training for the first week and be supported as they progress into the role.

Skills Required

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience within furniture production and/or restoration
• Excellent personal presentation
• Good verbal & written skills
• Professional & confident approach & able to work unsupervised
• Excellent customer service skills
• Flexibility

Remuneration & Package

• Salary dependent on experience, with the potential to earn up to £36,000 OTE
• Minimum 40hrs per week and 2 in 4 Saturdays required
• Company vehicle/fuel card
