Salary: £36,000 per year

Salary: Up to £36,000pa DOE + benefits package
Location: Northern Ireland

The Service Engineer will be a valued member of a small team of 5 other Engineers working in the Engineering department. They will split their time between working in the workshop and on service and installation sites in both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland

Client sites include Robotics factories, Car production lines, Laboratories, Fire and Emergency stations, and other Industrial sites.

The job involves the installation of various pieces of site machinery, HVAC systems, fire suppression systems, fans and filtration equipment and ducting.

Experience is required in any of the above industries, although full training and help with industry qualifications will be given to the successful candidate.

Service Engineer Requirements:

  • Either HND or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification
  • Ability to interpret and understand mechanical/electrical drawings
  • Experience in installation and maintenance of capital equipment.
  • Highly self-motivated and have the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • A flexible approach to working activities
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, high attention to detail
  • Good organisational skills, punctuality and timekeeping
  • Customer service skills, presentable, physically fit
  • Full UK Drivers licence (for use of company vehicle)
  • A CSCS card as some of the work will be on construction sites.

Service Engineer Responsibilities:

  • In this role you will work directly with other engineers to carry out the following:
  • Providing first line support and call out services
  • Planned and breakdown maintenance and service support
  • Regular testing of clients machines and products on line with warranties and service schedules
  • Undertake routine maintenance, reactive call-outs and installations.
  • Assist customers to achieve high standards of installation, commissioning, repair and training on equipment.
  • Assist design departments to identify and implement cost-effective equipment modifications to help improve safety, reliability and throughput.
  • Assist with the maintenance of technical documentation.
  • Consider the implications of issues such as cost, safety and time constraints.
