Service Architect – Public Sector/SIAM

A Service Architect with demonstrable and practical experience, in public or private sector, of transformational change to business processes and systems, to deliver cost savings and service improvements for customers.

Key skills required for the Service Architect – Public Sector/SIAM

* An understanding of the wider business environment into which solutions will land and ensuring alignment to the Departmental Business Architecture
* Awareness and understanding of industry standard security issues and processes.
* Experience in articulating what the key deliverables look like in order to build and maintain a culture of continuous delivery and improvement.
* Experience of KPI’s, SLA’s, SIAM and service management
* Demonstrable experience of leading and analysing current service and defining/designing new service architecture.
* Experience of complex enterprise, multi-vendor environments, and the In/Out-source of the same.
* Experienced in commercial engagements and in contributing to contracts and statements of work (from a service delivery perspective).
* Ensure service designs and architecture deliver the department and programme vision and objectives.
* Excellent knowledge of modern digital technologies and technical architectures, including cloud hosted services.
* A high level of digital literacy and capability to effectively engage with a wide range of digital specialists, suppliers and stakeholders to define the best approach to service design to achieve business and user objectives.
* Proven ability to lead/interface with joint business and technology teams to achieve programme goals and objectives.
* Experience of dealing with large scale corporate or government projects, ensuring that deliverables and desired outcomes are achieved.
* Extensive experience of a wide range of digital suppliers including from large scale system integrators to SMEs, and of innovative approaches to sourcing services.
* Extensive problem solving skills demonstrating the ability to maintain and guide both the short-term and long-term vision of an organisation.
* Some experience of engaging with large-scale system integration into legacy IT environments.
* Demonstrable and practical experience, in public or private sector, of transformational change to business processes and systems,

The successful candidate must either hold current DS (Disclosure Scotland) Clearance or be willing to undergo security vetting in order to obtain the level required.
