Salary: £42,000 per year
My client is currently looking for an experienced Service and Commissioning Engineer for UK and overseas duties. They are a leading manufacturer of industrial electrical, mechanical, PLC and control operated equipment and machinery. The ideal candidate will be multi skilled and have a proven knowledge and background of service engineering work with similar electro-mechanical equipment as well as fault find experience on PLC’s.
Service and Commissioning Engineer Role:
The successful Service and Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for:
* Diagnosing, repairing, installing and commissioning complex machinery, in a professional and efficient manner, ensuring minimal delays
* Completing work order detail and reports for all assigned activities
* Overseas and UK site visits
* Between overseas visits, you will be in the office to perform Job preparation and follow up activities specific to assigned tasks
* Occasional UK & Ireland assignments
* Supporting Technical Support and Innovation department teams by conducting system testing and mechanical/software diagnosis activities.
Service and Commissioning Engineer Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to work with minimum supervision in varying global locations and sometimes challenging environments.
* A confident, independent traveler.
* Forward thinking and analytical.
* Flexible approach with working hours
* PLC experience, able to hook a laptop up and make basic I/O checks and follow ladder logic.
* A commitment to customer care with a flexible outlook to achieve the business goals
* An effective communicator.
* IT literate.
Service and Commissioning Engineer package:
Salary £42,000+ overtime
