Salary: £36,000 – £42,000 per year
Senior Technical Assistant
Our client based in the Bracknell area are looking to employ, on a permanent basis, a Senior Technical Assistant.
Senior Technical Assistant – Benefits of the role:
– 37 hour week
– £30k to £35k depending on experience
– hours M- T 8:30 – 17:00, F 08:30 – 16:30
– 26 annual holidays plus Public holidays
– walking distance from Bracknell station
Senior Technical Assistant – The role:
The role of a Senior Technical Assistant is to support the testing, calibration and repair of electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, or electrohydraulic instruments and apparatus in use within a Instrument Solutions laboratory.
Senior Technical Assistant – Main Duties:
– assist in the continued conformity with the requirements contained in ISO 9001 (BSI) and ISO17025 (UKAS) through procedures defined within the Quality Manual of the Company
– maintenance of the quality system through its organisation, record keeping, analysis and its continued development
– analysis of and maintenance, in conjunction with the Quality Manager, of customer complaints & corrective actions to ensure their satisfactory outcome
– following a period of training to become an approved (UKAS) signatory for the issue of calibration/test certificates and other quality documents
– review and processing of customer calibration contracts from receipt through to delivery using bespoke software systems
– processing of goods sent for repair or calibration with third-party laboratories
– perform and/or organise preventative and corrective maintenance/calibrations of test apparatus and peripheral equipment
– development of, implementation of and ensuring the continued compliance of test/calibration methodologies using a variety of instrumentation/procedures including the use/creation of spreadsheets
– analysis and reporting of test data, using mathematical formulas/spreadsheets
– setting up of test equipment and conducting calibrations/trials at the Companies laboratories and at other third-party locations
– disassemble and reassemble instruments and equipment, using hand tools, and inspect instruments and equipment for defects
Senior Calibration Technician – Will need:
– experience working with quality systems to ISO 9001 or ISO 17025
– PC literate
– experience in field of calibration
– excellent diagnostic and analytical skills
