Salary: £13.20 per hour plus benefits
- Paid Induction
- Additional £1200 per year based on 2 waking nights per month
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday on a shift rota basis.
- Shift Patterns: 7.00 am – 3.00 pm, 2.00 pm – 10.00 pm

The successful candidate will have achieved their Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care and will be working towards their Level 3 and have natural leadership and mentoring skills.

As a senior support worker, you will be part of an experienced staff team working within a busy and vibrant service where no two days are the same.
Senior Support worker duties include:
- Supporting the Manager and Deputy Manager you’ll lead a team of Support Workers to provide extraordinary, person centred support, which is safe and maximises choice, dignity and independence.
- Acting as a role model and mentor to the Support Workers, you’ll facilitate the use of sound judgment and creative solutions to enable people to achieve goals and explore new opportunities. You’ll supervisor daily outputs and assist the deputy manager in managing staff performance, development and appraisals.
- Working in partnership with the people we support, their family, our specialist support teams and external agencies you’ll help to plan and implement professionally designed and person centred support plans that improve the quality of their everyday life and enables the achievement of individual goals, however small or large, each and every day.
- You will be a natural leader with experience of providing extraordinary support, ideally to people with visual impairment or other disabilities, you’ll be professional, patient and calm under pressure. You’ll be a strong team player with the ability to lead by example and nurture and develop talent, both in your team members and the people we support.
- You’ll have a knowledge of regulatory standards for supported/residential living but above all you’ll take personal responsibility for the quality of care and support delivered to the people we support, striving always to surpass expectations and do what is right by them.
- As a Senior Support Worker you’ll be part of a team that includes support from a positive behaviour support consultant. Your day-to-day management will come from an experienced, passionate leader who will work alongside you.
- You will be driving the person we support their car, so full UK clean drivers license is essential for this role
We are looking for someone who can devote to 37.5 per week and are willing to work on a shift rota basis, covering mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Who will you be supporting?
Jane* Has her own mobility car and loves going out for long drives. She loves listening to music, sitting on her bean bag with sensory lights on reading fairy tale books!
Jack* is one of the most loving and caring people we support. He loves going on adventures on the train, watching the airplanes at the local airport. Has a huge collection of fans that he likes to carry with him around. He has a great sense of humour and a cheeky laugh to go with it and can be very affectionate asking for head massages and scratches, he loves sensory interaction.
Joseph* He loves outdoor activities like gardening, taking a picnic and a flask with lots of coffee for a long walks. Likes to ride around buses for hours and he is the life of the party!
Josh* He loves spending time on his own watching old game shows. Sometimes he brings those game shows to life by playing them with his support team. His favourite is strictly come dancing- “Its nice to see you, to see you nice!” When he does decide to go out, his favourite activity is to go to the local shop to buy sausage rolls and race back with his support staff and of course he has to always win!
Joan* She is the ‘Miss independent’ of the house! She loves working on the farm with the animals and collecting eggs of the chickens during the week and on weekends likes to spend her time going to dog shows, eco friendly shops and visiting her family!
