Senior Residential Care Worker

I am looking for experienced senior staff to work in residential homes for children and younger adults with learning disabilities, complex needs and challenging behaviour in Rushden and Kettering. The homes offers residents fantastic care in a home from home environment.

The job involves delivering high standards of care, protection and support to residents by facilitating their physical, psychological, emotional and recreational development, as well as undertaking tasks such as assisting the Manager, carrying out weekly checks and supervising a staff team.

For this role you will need:

* Experience of working with people with learning disabilities and autism

* A minimum of 1 years’ experience in a senior role in residential care, to include shift leading, key worker, supervisions etc

* Experience of working with non-verbal individuals and an understanding of alternative communication methods

* Experience of managing challenging behaviours

* The ability to work shifts, including alternate weekends

* Level 3 in Health and Social Care/Residential Child Care would be desirable
