Senior Supervising Social Worker

Clarion have an immediate opportunity for an experienced, Senior Supervising/Social Worker, with a minimum of three years of post-qualifying experience, preferably in the independent fostering sector or in a statutory setting such as child protection and/or youth offending.

Duties Include:

• Providing support and supervision to foster carers
• Supervising a small staff team
• Form F assessments and panel presentation
• Participation in delivery of training for foster carers
• Conducting foster carer annual reviews, providing written evidence of competence
• Attending social, educational and leisure activities relating to the support of children, young people and foster carers
• Monitoring and compliance of all safeguarding aspects
• Flexible working and out of hours support to carers

Essential Criteria:

• Hold a relevant Social Work qualification and be registered with the HCPC
• A proven ability to produce a high standard of report writing
• Solid knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and procedures in relation to fostering and Safeguarding
• A committed self-starter with the ability to work independently but also adept at fostering open communication with team members and carers
• Demonstrate high aspirations for young people and their carers
• Ability to evidence strong IT skills, including the use of Microsoft Office
• Appointment will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
