Senior Structural Engineer
Overview
My client is a medium sized engineering consultancy, actively seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join their busy team on an initial 6-12 month contract. Candidates will have strong experience in the design of building structures and possess the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Key Qualifications/Experience
Educated to a minimum degree level within a relevant engineering discipline
Chartered or actively working towards chartership
Experienced in the design of building structures
Good written and verbal communication skills
Experience of performing structural design for the rail sector would be advantageous
Ability to design efficiently in steel, concrete, masonry and timber
Able to manage own workload and work self sufficiently
Key Responsibilities
Preparation of structural calculations and specifications
Briefing and supervising CAD Technicians/Junior Engineers
Liaising with internal and external contacts to determine project requirements
Ensuring projects are completed to agreed budgets and timescales
Efficient design using steel, masonry, timber and concrete
This position is currently vacant due to an increase in workload and our client can accommodate an immediate start for the right candidate. Salary is dependent on experience.
