Role: Senior Software Engineer

Location: Cheltenham – hybrid

Salary – up to £60k basic

We are looking for software engineers proficient in either C++ or Python (ideally both) to join a Cyber development team operating on the bleeding edge of the National Security sector. As a result, the right individual MUST BE A SOLE BRITISH NATIONAL AND HAVE LIVED IN THE UK CONTINUOUSLY FOR THE PAST 10 YEARS.

You will be responsible for the design, delivery and development of high assurance code in a growing Cyber Security department with an excellent relationship with the relevant Government authority. This is a superb opportunity for an aspiring developer wanting to take on more responsibility and learn to be a technical lead on projects. Under the guidance of the Lead and Principal Developers, you will be responsible for proof of concept feature development, defining CI/CD pipeline processes, and the development of complex software projects in a rewarding sector.

You will be able to work autonomously, but be given the appropriate support in furthering your career utilising your mentors and all the upskilling provided (Cloud academy where certifications are fully funded).

Skill requirements

• Proficiency in C++, C or Python
• Experience designing and developing software solutions
• A good problem solver with a good understanding of software systems and how they all fit together
• Ideally and experience debugging and disassembling third party tools and libraries
• A desire to progress your career and take advantage of the upskilling available
