Senior Social Worker (Child Protection) Southend

Pulse Social Work is currently recruiting for a Senior Child Protection Social Work Practitioner on behalf of the Southend-on-Sea Borough Council.

You will be working as part of a varied Child Protection Team investigating allegations of harm against children and providing support to families. This is a lighter but complex caseload of up to 10 Children and Families. The pay rates are open to negotiation based on your previous experience up to £36 – £38.4ph. Car Driver Not Essential.

Duties will include:

·Investigating allegations of harm against children
·Formulating Protection Plans which may include
Court Proceedings
·Section 47 Investigations and Core Assessments
·Direct contact with other organisations to act in the best interest of children who’s cases you hold
·Report writing, and maintaining accurate and concise reports
·Case Conferences
·Use of Council’s IT System
·Knowledge of Child Social Care Legislation
·Participate on Duty framework

You MUST have…
·A social work degree (or equivalent social work qualification)
·Registration as a social worker with the HCPC
·Willing to undertake an advanced CRB check.
·At least 2 years post-qualifying social work experience in the UK
·Eligibility to work in the UK
