Salary: circa £48,000 – £54,000 + bonus + excellent benefits

Location: Slough, Berkshire

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a global FMCG employer of choice, looking for a talented and dynamic sensory and statistical expert to play a leading role in developing understanding of consumer perception of product and packaging.

The Role:
You will have significant experience leading complex R&D projects and be responsible for designing, executing, analysing, reporting and presenting a wide range of research to further understanding, using your technical skills and knowledge to drive significant business benefits and build mathematical models.

As a main contributor to the development of new prototype evaluation methodologies, you will pay particular attention to sensometric applications whilst managing the statistical analysis process for non- specialists where necessary. This is a hands-on role and you must be dedicated to keeping up to date with the most innovative and latest techniques, and challenging current sensory, consumer and statistical practices. You must co-ordinate needs for sensometric applications globally and be confident in your decisional input for the efficient use of statistical tools. Statistical analysis, experimental design and applied usage are expected throughout this role, as is the promotion of relevant and rigorous statistics for use within the sensory community.

About you:
will have a degree in Science, Food Technology, Engineering, Statistics or Applied Statistics and addition food science and sensory science experience. You will be comfortable applying statistics to product evaluation or market research, and will be a confident leader and exponent of best practice, contributing to the ongoing training and development of others.
