Senior Scientist – Protein Production

Our client who is at the forefront of shaping the future of medicine are looking for a highly skilled Senior Protein Production Scientist to lead and manage a variety of laboratory protein production tasks and projects.

You will be a focal point within the team for developing and improving methods / processes for the delivery of a range of proteins. Additional responsibilities will include:-

* Overseeing protein expression and characterisation activities in both ‘hands on’ and ‘technical go to’ capacities

* Providing expertise for characterisation and purification approaches, validating and implementing most appropriate processes for others to follow (HPLC, SDS-PAGE, Western blot, ELISA, SPR)

* Successfully delivering on target projects for both internal and external parties / customers

* Identifying and implementing process changes

* Interpreting complex data derived from purification and characterisation activities and ultimately making key decisions on laboratory project tasks.

* Training team members

To succeed you will need a PhD, MSc in Biochemistry / Biotechnology together with expertise in protein expression, purification and characterisation in an ISO 13485 / GMP environment.
