Our Client is part of a larger group, a group of seven UK based companies at the forefront of the transport and logistics industry and due to expansion and growth are now looking for a Senior Sales Executive to join their team in Harpenden. This is a dual role and you will be working for 2 companies from the group.

You will be joining one of the UK’s most successful independently owned European Transport companies which provides logistics solutions to a broad range of industry sectors. They operate a fleet of 70 + modern curtain side trailers and their International client base includes some of Europe’s most prestigious companies.

Role

In line with the expansion of our two Harpenden subsidiaries we are looking to recruit a Senior Sales Executive to perform a dual sales role for both companies

Working alongside a team of other sales and sales support staff the successful candidate will proactively develop new business and build and nurture existing client relationships to maximise the potential.

– New business development through telesales / cold calling / field sales
– Generating & Calculating Freight quotations / tender documents
– Drafting and sending appropriate sales correspondence
– Follow up calls
– Managing sales process through to closure
– Developing long lasting relationships with new clients

Experience Required:

Ideally Industry experience (Freight Forwarding, Transport or Shipping)
Sales experience (Telesales & Field Sales)
Tenacious
Good Communication Skills
Enthusiastic & Self Motivated
Good Organisations & Administration Skills
Good Excel Skills
Numerate
Self-Motivated
Professional and presentable
