The Opportunity
The company are a leading national parcel carrier, specialising in B2B next day/overnight deliveries. They are currently seeking the appointment of an industry experienced ‘new business sales’ hunter to help drive market growth within the territory and increase branch sales revenue. The package will be tailored to level of experience and track-record to date.

The Role
Covering specifically the LA, PR, FY postcodes, selling overnight parcel delivery services B2B, this opportunity is all about new business development. You will be provided with all of the tools and support required to do the job, including a thorough induction initially, but ultimately it’s down to you to make things happen. Undertaking high levels of pro-active sales via various methods to arrange and attend your own client facing appointments, whilst you will enjoy an initial three-month probation with no set targets, from month four you should already have a pipeline ready to convert in order to meet the sales revenue targets which are around the £3-£4k mark dependant on the level you are appointed at.

Do you have the correct profile?
We welcome applications from highly driven, money hungry sales professionals who have already have a minimum of 1 years’ experience and successful track-record selling similar parcel, freight or palletised logistics/carrier services for similar industry service providers. For more experienced candidates (2-5 years+ experience) the client will as mentioned provide a more competitive basic salary and package. You will have the drive and tenacity as a ‘sales hunter gatherer’ as there is very little account management involved (new customers are passed to a separate team soon after being secured). A full UK driving licence is essential as are excellent presentation skills, bags of energy, and above all a real ‘will to win’. You must also live ‘on patch’ to be considered.

The Rewards
Our client can provide an attractive basic salary (genuinely anywhere from £26,400 – £36,000dependant on what you can bring and how many years’ experience you have), also with the opportunity to include a set salary increase after an initial review period in the first six months. There is a lucrative bonus/commission plan which is uncapped linked to target achievement and a choice of prestige brand company cars accompanied by laptop, monthly phone allowance, contributory pension and options on private healthcare.
