£30,720 – £31,320 including on-call and sleep-in payments

160 hours (10 x 16 hour shifts) and 10 sleep-ins per month

I am currently looking for an experienced worker to join the team at a fabulous children’s home in Kettering.

In this role you be ensuring young people care receive the best level of care available. Duties will include:

* Supporting and assisting the Home’s Registered Manager as part of a team, ensuring the smooth running of the Home

* Providing a safe, warm and supportive environment for young people

* Offering a comprehensive residential service to children and young people, the aim being to ensure the physical, social and emotional care and development of the young people and their Home

* Maintaining the development of positive childcare practice in keeping with the aims and objectives of our organisation

* Forging positive links and relationships within the community, participating in connection with schools and colleges, health professionals, and leisure activities

* Implementing the agreed placement plans of each young person and ensuring that individual goals are met

For this post you must have:

• Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Children) or equivalent

* At least two years’ experience of working with young people with EBD

• Experience of managing staff on a day to day basis

* The ability to communicate with people at all levels

• An understanding of the NMS for children’s Homes

• Experience of dealing with challenging behaviour

• The ability to work shifts and sleep-ins
