Senior Project Design Engineer

My client is a local and well established manufacturing business located in Norfolk. A thriving business with a strong Engineering team the design manager is looking for another Senior Design Engineer to join them.

Senior Design Engineer – The role involves:

* Responsibility for the design and development of new products, these could be bespoke projects or existing product updates

* Project Management of New Product Introduction

* Cradle to grave responsibility for designing and project engineering products through to manufacturing

* Sourcing new parts/components/materials as appropriate depending on the design brief

* Providing technical support to all departments internally

* Creating and updating relevant engineering drawings,

* Promoting and working towards the culture of Business Excellence with Quality performance and continuous improvements

* Customer liaison and support through the life-cycle of the project

* Working closely with manufacturing and marketing to ensure the design and project is successful

Senior Design Engineer – The ideal candidate will have experience within the following areas:

* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

* A strong understanding of Mechanical engineering ideally through Industry experience

* Previous project Management experience

*Engineering calculations

* Fully conversant with CAD principles and Solid Modelling Software

* Team orientated Engineer

* Strong communication skills
