Senior Product Developer (JavaScript)

We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Product Developer with knowledge of some or all of the following: JavaScript, HTML5, C#, OOL and CSS3 to join our very successful client’s organisation, based in Chertsey. This is an opportunity to be involved in the complete product lifecycle through design, build and customer implementation with the possibility of developing into a Project Leader.

The client are offering a package of £57,600 – £75,600 plus £3000 car allowance per year + pension, depending on experience.

Their software product allows organisations to deploy enterprise applications to mobile devices with a genuine mobile first UI. Because each of their customers have configured their enterprise applications to their precise requirements, they have built their software in a very flexible way so it can be very quickly configured to support the configured back-end application and the end user’s process. They built their software using the latest technology and is a highly innovative way of deploying transactional business processes onto mobile devices.

The expectation is that on joining the Senior Developer would immediately start contributing to their development efforts whilst learning and understand their code base.

Senior Product Developer’s Core Duties

Interact with their sales and consulting organisations and customers
Assist in the creation of demo configurations to showcase the product’s capabilities
Supporting the product in live usage
Building PoCs of new application areas / product capabilities for specific sales prospects and customers
You should be able to intuitively implement good coding practice and quickly start contributing to the design of specific areas of the application including ‘green field’ build
Over time, they want you to develop to the point where you can mentor other people

Senior Product Developer’s Skills required

2-4 years very high quality post-graduation experience, preferred
A 2:1 or higher in a numerate discipline from a reputable institution (e.g. Maths, Physics, Engineering etc)
3 A Levels at grade A or B in serious subjects
C# / Java
HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript

Senior Product Developer’s Key Experience

Heavyweight development experience in Object Oriented languages (and especially with experience in designing class models involving a high degree of abstraction)
Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Knockout, preferred
Experience of building a standard product that can be deployed in many scenarios as opposed to a custom application, preferred
