Senior – Principal Sustainability Consultant

Salary: £60,000 – £84,000 per year

In line with a strategic growth plan we have a fantastic opportunity for a senior level Sustainability Consultant to join and become a lead member of the sustainability team of the London office of a very well established and award winning multi-disciplinary Engineering Consultant.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• The Principal Sustainability Consultant will be responsible for undertaking thermal modelling and dynamic simulations within IES to produce BRUKL output document calculations and EPCs.
• Undertaking SAP calculations for residential buildings and carrying out daylight, sunlight and overheating assessments.
• A key part of the Principal Sustainability Consultants role will be producing energy and sustainability statements for planning applications in line with the current GLA London Plan and London Borough energy and sustainability requirements.

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND 

The Principal Sustainability Consultant will ideally hold the following experience and accreditations:

• Low Carbon Consultant accreditation
• Proficiency and experience working within IES (or similar), in particular for thermal modelling;
• Part L compliance calculations
• Heating and cooling load calculation
• Energy modelling (TM54)
• Overheating modelling (TM52 and TM59)
• Proficiency and experience undertaking SAP for Part L compliance
• Experience in producing energy and sustainability statements for planning applications
